Frankfurt – Jumeirah Hotel

Great Centrally Located Hotel

Well located in the center of Frankfurt, 2 minutes walk from Haupwache S-Bahn station – with direct trains from Frankfurt Airport and Hauptbahnhof.

Friendly check in, though my room not ready at 2pm and asked to wait in the bar but no drink offered whilst I waited…. A good overview of the hotel given and was escorted to the lifts as they are of a nature that need to be explained how to use them!

Room With A View

I was upgraded to a room on the 22nd floor with stunning views over the city.

Despite all the windows there was no external noise and as the room had a small hallway away from the bed there was no noise to disturb sleep. Talking of sleep the bed was VERY comfortable and I did not want to get up in the morning.

Well appointed room with space to both work and to relax with 2 chairs and an ottoman. Bathroom, with bath tub and separate shower and WC, had everything needed except only a very small bar of soap, I prefer to use soap rather than shower gel. The bathroom amenities are by Joop, first time I have seen these.

The bath robe was amazing, probably best I have ever experienced in a hotel.

One nice bonus is the complimentary minibar with soft drinks, water, a couple of beers and some snacks.

I did not dine in the hotel other than breakfast which was a great experience – very extensive selection of food and drinks. I would consider actually going for breakfast in the hotel even if not staying there as it really was a nice experience.

The hotel gym and pool is actually a private health club operated by Fitness First that is in the same building as the hotel. This was not explained fully at check-in (the only downside) and it was a strange experience arriving into the reception area of the health club in my, very nice, bath robe to be confronted by lots of normal people checking into the club…. The clubs facilities are excellent with a good sized pool and saunas and steam rooms.

Would I recommend the hotel, yes! It has an exclusive feel to the hotel with friendly staff, a good nights sleep, great health club, excellent breakfast and a good location.
