Motel One Manchester
The Motel One Manchester is perfectly located for rail passengers being directly opposite Piccadilly Railway Station. Due to my travel being disrupted by bad weather I booked the hotel a couple of hours before arrival for £69, excluding breakfast. Motel One have one price pretty much year round which is great as you have an idea of what a hotel will cost, as long as its available!
My arrival was late in the evening at 23.30, the checkin staff were friendly and the lobby bar was still busy giving a good first impression.
My room was located on the 5th floor and had a view of a side street so was relatively quiet. On entering the room it was cold due to the air conditioning set to a low temperature, easily rectified. The room itself was a decent size for a short stay with a comfortable queen sized bed. There was a table to work at and the wifi was a decent speed. There was a kettle with tea and coffee.
The bathroom was clean, compact and functional with good towels and Motel One branded toiletries that were pleasant to use. The shower was powerful and hot. A hair dryer was provided.
Breakfast is £9.50 and has a reasonable spread with quite good coffee.
A good city centre hotel for rail travellers and reliable pricing.
Would I stay at the Motel One Manchester again? Yes for an overnight stop.
