Ukraine Gets Two New International Night Train Connections

Andy B

I'm Andy B, a Brit who has always loved travelling, and especially by train! I have been lucky enough to have visited some 150 countries and travelled on trains in 74 of those. My aim is to travel to every country in the world and to travel on as many rail lines as possible (the parlance for this is gricing!) I have been lucky and spent my working life in the travel industry and made many friends around the world who share the passion for travel. I founded the award winning company Railbookers. Unfortunately they can only be easily bought through Ukrzaliznytsia (website or app) if you have the Diia authentication app, which isn’t possible to use any longer unless you are Ukrainian or live in Ukraine.

MAV allows booking, but I appear to have ended up with a ticket (having selected a single sleeper) that has no allocated wagon or berth. MAV cannot explain what they have actually sold me and need a month(!) to investigate, for a train that leaves in 17 days. Not very useful.
