French Rail Strike 08 November ’23
CGT (General Confederation of Workers) union members are planning a nationwide strike on Wednesday 8th November 2023. The strike is timed to coincide with the start of annual pay negotiations with the national rail operator SNCF.
SNCF will announce the impact on rail operations from 17:00 on Tuesday November 7th,Paris Time.
Initial reports say that rail services will be “lightly disrupted”.
In the Paris area the regional network operator, RATP, predict that RER lines C, D, and E, and rail lines N ,P, and U, may be affected. Industrial action on these networks typically results in between 50-80 percent service availability.
