You can hop on and off between stations in Northern’s Central and West regions, offering travel to and from some of Northern’s most-desired shopping and tourism hotspots. Including travel to/from Carlisle via the Cumbrian Coast and to/from Todmorden and Walsden.

Northern Explorer 55 West is a Day Ranger ticket available for anyone aged 55 or over. Proof of age at point of sale is required and must be available at time of travelling.

This ticket is valid for a day’s unlimited travel on Northern services only within the West and Central Regions of the Northern network, plus to / from Walsden, Todmorden & Carlisle – on trains timed to depart at or after 0930 Monday to Friday and at any time at the weekend or on a Bank Holiday.

The product is available all year round and costs £15.90. No Railcard or child discounts are permitted.
