While most of us are currently focused on our summer travels, Interrail and Eurail are already looking ahead to the off-season months that follow the summer holidays.

As part of a special off-season sale, you can now get a 20% discount on your Interrail or Eurail pass, which can be used for travel starting from the 1st of September 2025.

The discount is valid for both Global Passes and One-Country Passes, with the exception of the One Country Pass Switzerland.

Your discounted Interrail Pass can be used any time from the 1st of September 2025, but must be activated within 11 months of the purchase date.

The current off-season Eurail and Interrail promotional sale runs until Thursday the 3rd of July, so make sure to buy your discounted pass in time!

Flexibility

One of the best aspects of buying an Interrail or Eurail pass is the great flexibility it offers.

It starts with your travel dates: even if you haven’t made any plans yet — or don’t even have a rough idea of when or where you want to go — buying an Interrail or Eurail pass is still a great idea.

Because you can activate the pass at any time within 11 months of purchase, you have plenty of time to make your travel plans and decide on a great rail trip to use your pass for!

Unused passes purchased during the promotional sale can be fully refunded up to the latest activation date specified, as long as you haven’t activated the pass.

That means that even if you don’t have time to travel and can’t use your Eurail or Interrail pass, you can still get your money back.

Of course, full flexibility is also a key benefit when travelling with your Eurail or Interrail pass.

You get unlimited train travel across Europe and can board most trains without buying individual tickets for each journey, allowing pass holders to travel spontaneously.

However, note that some trains — such as night trains, the Eurostar, and high-speed services in countries like France, Spain, and Italy — require special passholder reservations or supplements when using your Interrail or Eurail pass.
