Using an Interrail or Eurail pass
You can travel on TGV high-speed trains in France with an Interrail or Eurail pass, although you will need a passholder reservation, with prices starting from €10.

If you are travelling with an Interrail or Eurail pass, the Paris–Lille TGV high-speed train can be an excellent alternative to the Eurostar high-speed train between Paris and Brussels, as passholder reservations on Eurostar are subject to a quota and are more expensive to begin with (€27 in second class and €32 in first class).
If passholder reservations on the Paris–Brussels Eurostar are no longer available, simply book a reservation on a TGV train to Lille.
From there, you can continue on a regular InterCity train to either Ghent or Kortrijk (no reservations required), before changing for Brussels.
