Renfe Black Friday Deal: Spanish Train Tickets From €7
Spanish national railway company Renfe has an excellent Black Friday deal, with train tickets across Spain available from as little as €7.
Renfe Black Friday deal
Renfe, the national railway company of Spain, is offering some great deals as part of its Black Friday promotion.
You can book tickets for long-distance and high-speed trains across the country at greatly reduced prices.
The discounted tickets are available for Avlo and Alvia trains, as well as Renfe’s premium AVE high-speed trains.
Examples
The cheapest tickets in Renfe’s Black Friday promotion start at €7 and are for low-cost Avlo high-speed services within specific Spanish regions.
For example, you can book a ticket for an Avlo train within Andalucía, such as between the cities of Seville and Málaga, for just €7.
However, also long-distance routes across the country are heavily discounted.
For example, the cheapest Renfe tickets from Madrid to Granada, Seville, or Cádiz, start at just €18.

Cheap upgrades
Another nice aspect of the Renfe Black Friday deal are the affordable upgrades they offer.
If you buy the cheapest second-class train ticket, called ‘básico’ (basic), you can upgrade it for just €1 to a ‘elige’ fare.
While Renfe’s ‘básico’ fares are non-refundable and non-changeable, the ‘elige’ fares are semi-flexible, and the difference between the two is usually much more than just €1.
It is also possible to buy a cheap upgrade from second to first class on international AVE high-speed trains between Spain and France as part of Renfe’s Black Friday deal.
On these trains, you can now upgrade your ‘básico’ ticket to an ‘elige confort’ ticket for €5, €6, or €10, depending on the train and offer availability.
An ‘elige confort’ ticket gives you a first-class seat on the train, but without any included food or access to Renfe lounges at the station.
How to book discounted Renfe tickets
You can book your discounted Renfe tickets on their dedicated Black Friday promotional website.
The Black Friday deal is available until 1 December and is valid for journeys from 8 January 2025, subject to the availability of promotional seats.

Dealing with the Renfe website
The world of Spanish rail fares and the various train types operated by Renfe can be a bit complicated for those unfamiliar with rail travel on the Iberian Peninsula.
Even for those familiar with Spanish train travel, the Renfe website is notoriously difficult to use and has many quirks.
As always, Seat61 offers an excellent overview of all the different fares, trains, and routes, including a handy beginner’s guide to Spanish train travel.
Conclusion
Renfe has a special Black Friday sale, selling high-speed train tickets with prices starting at €7.
There are also some great deals for those looking to upgrade their basic second-class ticket to a semi-flexible one or a first-class ticket.
