RegioJet to Launch Trains Between Krakow and Warsaw in Poland
Private rail operator RegioJet is preparing to launch new train services between Krakow and Warsaw in Poland.
RegioJet expansion in Poland
RegioJet, a private rail operator from the Czech Republic, will soon enter the Polish domestic market by launching trains between Krakow and Warsaw.
From 18 September, RegioJet will operate a daily service linking Krakow in southern Poland with the capital, Warsaw.
The train will leave Kraków Główny at 08:49, stop at Zawiercie at 09:47, and arrive at Warszawa Zachodnia (Warsaw West) at 11:45.
It will then continue to Warszawa Centralna, the city’s main railway station, at 11:54 before terminating at Warszawa Wschodnia (Warsaw East) at 12:21.
The timetable for the return service from Warsaw to Krakow has not yet been published, although the departure from Warsaw is reportedly planned for 14:30.

Prices and ticket sales
Once the timetable is confirmed, tickets for RegioJet’s new Polish service will be available on the RegioJet website.
Fares have not yet been announced, but it is expected that RegioJet will either match the prices of PKP, the Polish State Railways, or aim to undercut them.
About RegioJet
RegioJet already runs dozens of trains across the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and also operates international services connecting Prague with Vienna and Budapest.
The private rail company also runs night trains, including services from Prague to Przemyśl in Poland and from Prague to Chop in Ukraine via Slovakia.
In the past, RegioJet also ran a seasonal night train connecting Prague and Bratislava with the Croatian coast, but this service has now been suspended as the company shifted its night train strategy on Przemyśl and Chop, targeting Ukrainian travellers.
In addition to its train services, RegioJet also operates an extensive bus network across Central Europe.

Other private operators in Poland
RegioJet isn’t the only private rail operator eyeing the Polish market.
FlixTrain has also announced plans to run trains into Poland, with a service between Berlin and Warsaw that will directly compete with the EuroCity trains operated by PKP on this route.
Conclusion
RegioJet will soon start a domestic InterCity service in Poland, operating a daily train in each direction between Krakow and Warsaw.
The service is scheduled to begin on 18 September, with a morning departure from Krakow to Warsaw and a mid-afternoon return from Warsaw.
